Moose Jaw Town Parade - June 19, 2025

The recently concluded Moose Jaw Hometown Parade, held yesterday, June 19, 2025, on Main Street, saw a vibrant turnout of groups showcasing their spirit and enjoying the festivities. The Moose Jaw and Regina Shrine Club actively participated in this event and gave their time to the community.

Among the participants, the Shriners notably featured their Oriental Band, mini cars, and mini trikes, adding to the parade's excitement. It marked another enjoyable day for the Shriners, celebrating their ongoing commitment to extending care and demonstrating the principles of philanthropy to children through community service.

Led by the current MJ Shrine Club President Garth Hordenchuck, the Shriners had FUN FUN FUN!!!

The Shriners Imperial Session is the annual meeting of Shriners International.

It's a hugely significant event for the organization, bringing together Shriners from all over the world to conduct important affairs.

    After spending over three months in the inpatient rehabilitation unit at Shriners Houston in early 2019 for a spinal cord injury (SCI), 19-year-old Jonica said she learned to rebuild herself physically and mentally. Over a year after her accident, Jonica has been focused on her new abilities. Whether that means learning to do things she was able to do before differently, or experiencing new moments for the first time, she focuses on making things possible.

    “I have found that pretty much anything I want to do, or enjoyed doing prior to my SCI is still very much possible. You’re still alive and able to experience new things, and that’s something worth holding onto,” Jonica said.
